What’s more Newfoundland these days then an ole’ boat? Well, sadly, it’s an ole’ boat not getting put to good use.
While some might scoff and say “sure dat’s just an old boat b’y” I say look again, it’s more.
It’s a memory of the days gone by and a reminder of what we had and how not to lose it. It’s an emblem of where Newfoundland came from and where we all come from. We didn’t arrive on this island via horse and buggy. No, we sailed thousands of miles to a rock, in the middle of no where.
It might just be a picture of a boat, sure, but it’s a boat that tells a story.
