  • These are just some questions I’m asked on a regular basis, hopefully by putting them here it will better satisfy your interest in hiring me as your wedding photographer on your big day.

    General Questions:

    • Q. What time will you show up?
      A
. Generally 30mins before the start time stated in the agreement. Ex. if your ceremony starts at 3pm, then I’ll be there at least by 2:30.
    • Q: How will I know if you’re available for my wedding date.
      A.
Contact me! That’s the only way to know for sure!
    • Q. What style are you photographing weddings in now?
      A
. That’s your decision. Whether it be the traditional wedding photography or the new photojournalistic style, it’s your decision. Just let me know!
    • Q. Do you have a current Criminal Code of Conduct available.
      A.
Yep! And it’s clean! Please inquire and I will obtain a current copy for you to view.
    • Q: How will you dress for our wedding? We don’t want someone showing up in t-shirt and sweatpants!
      A:
I would feel embarrassed if someone showed up to my wedding in anything other then a shirt and tie. While I might leave the tie at home (it can get in the way!) I always dress smart for the occasion, never casual. You’ve got no worries.
    • Q: What kind of wine do you drink?
      A: Red please! :)

    Prices & Policy:

    • Q. What is the least I can expect to pay for your wedding services?
      A
. Package 1, which without any add-ons, is $650. It gets you ceremony and a pre-ceremony coverage and everything then on a CD. For more details, check the packages page.
    • Q. How can I pay?
      A
. Cash or check please. For more details on payment, i.e.: when to pay, contact me!
    • Q. How much down payment?
      A.
      A $100 non-refundable booking fee is mandatory.
    • Q. Do we have to sign anything?
      A. Yes. Unfortunately in this day and age I need to protect myself. However, the contact also serves to bind me to everything I promise to you. So the agreement is not only for my protection, but yours as well. You will be given a copy of the agreement for reference and any amendments to the agreement should be brought up prior to signing.

    Pictures & Printing:

    • QDo you offer touch-up services with your wedding packages.
      A. Yes. They’re are included in the price for all packages. Services include (but not limited to) blemish removal, subject removal, object removal, tonal and color corrections, etc. etc. Please speak to me about these issues.
    • Q: How many pictures will I receive?
      A
: It depends on a lot of things, we can discuss this more during a meeting. With that said, for a shorter session, based on the ceremony and pre-ceremony shoot involving 2-3 locations, you can expect about 100 to 150 photos. For an all day session  you can expect between 500 to 700 photos on delivery.
    • Q: Do you do printing?
      A
: I do. Check my prices page for the sizes and options available. All printing is done with the time proven process of silver halide. Silver Halide is the oldest and best method of print processing which produces the best colors and longest lasting prints.
    • Q. Can you frame our wedding photos?
      A
. Yes. This would require some discussion however, so please contact me.
    • Q. Do you shoot in color or black & white?
      A
. Both! Yep. Both. I shoot everything in color then I use my own custom methods to convert the color photos to black and white. This process means if for some instance a photo looks better in color then black and white, you have the option to switch back. The choice is yours!

    Custom Wedding Albums:

    • Q. If I am not sure about ordering the hard cover wedding album, when do I need to decide by?
      A
. Decide at your leisure. If it is 3 months after your wedding and you decide you’d like to order two as gifts for your parents, do not hesitate to contact me.

    • Q. Can you put other photos, from family and friends in the hard cover wedding album?
      A
. Yes! In fact I encourage this as it can really add to the lasting value of the book. It should be noted that this may add some time to the processing of the book, however, regular processing of your wedding photos will not be effected.

    My Assurance To You:

    • Q. HELP! We’ve lost our wedding photos CD!
      A
. No worries, back-ups are included in ALL packages and all wedding photos are backed up in a number of ways. Firstly, all high resolution files are burned off on to two sets of archival DVD’s. One set it stored locally in a safe that is 100% fire, water and thief. This means not only are your photos safe but they’re also immediately on hand for access without delay. The other set is stored off-site such that if a catastrophe ever occurred with the first set, there is a second back-up waiting to replace it. Finally, all photos are also stored on hard disk from which I have secure remote access anywhere in the world. So for instance, if I am in Europe and you have a problem with your photos I can immediately access your photos nd assist you to get them back in your hands right away. If that sounds like a lot of techno-jargon, just know I take every step possible to maintain back-ups of your precious wedding day photos forever.
    • Q. What happens if for some reason you are unable to photograph our wedding?
      A
. So long as I have a working right hand to use the camera with, I’ll be there! :) But, in case something disastrous does happen to me, I have a company of associates who will step in to cover without any issue. I’ll never see you stuck, I couldn’t live with myself if I put someone in a horrible position like that without doing what I can to rectify it first.
